Matt is able to get people rapidly engaged and focused to design and test their own solutions to the most complex of situations. He does this whilst all the while coaching and mentoring to avoid creating dependency.

Now with Basis (co-director) and ImpactBasis (Director), he works to encourage innovation in Children’s Services, Education and Youth Work, Adult Social Care, alongside most other local authority services. He has also delivered many highly successful projects for the organisations such as the NHS, MTR Crossrail and The British Red Cross.

With over twenty years of experience and growth in product delivery in the private and the public sectors, Nick works to enable individuals, teams and organisations think just a little bit differently about this experience we call “work” and shows that serious doesn’t mean sombre and that playfulness and curiosity are vital for our wellbeing.
Nick started his journey delivering software and hardware in the mobile telecommunications space where his own curiosity led him to question some of the more constrained ways of the working world. Five years as a Civil Servant at the Government Digital Service, in a number of senior roles, allowed him to turn these questions in to practices, leading and working for the Agile Delivery Community and the GovTech programme
Nick holds a BSc in Psychology from Plymouth University and an MSc in Work Design & Ergonomics from Birmingham University. The theories around Human Centred Design that were in textbooks then, and now celebrating the human in the workplace is where Nick is at.
Nick’s approach is open, honest and sometimes a little raw, but it’s fun coz why else would he be doing it?
